WATERDOWN

Small town feels with many amenities

Northwest of Burlington, with a southern vista overlooking Hamilton, lies Waterdown. A town with so many amenities, you might even call it a city. As part of the municipality of Hamilton, the town has experienced explosive residential and commercial growth in the last decade while still retaining much of its small-town, old-school appeal. The village of Waterdown features century-old Victorian architecture mixed with modern structures such as its glass and concrete municipal centre. It also offers residents an A-to-Z list of retail options from popular big-box stores to small, independent specialty shops. With an estimated population of over 20,000, Waterdown is the perfect town for Toronto and Kitchener commuters offering close proximity to the 400 series highways. Within five minutes you can hop on the 403 or the 407. The 401 will take you 20. Hamilton and Burlington commuters are able to easily travel to and from their jobs along Highways 5 and 6, which lead to Hamilton, Guelph and Burlington. The Aldershot GO station is about a 10 minute drive.
